 Description:

This course provides an in-depth exploration of human reproductive biology, including the processes of gametogenesis, fertilization, and embryonic development. It integrates theoretical knowledge with practical training in assisted reproductive techniques (ART), including semen analysis, sperm and oocyte processing, cryopreservation, and embryo culture. By the end of the course, participants will develop a strong understanding of reproductive biology and acquire hands-on skills essential for clinical and research applications in fertility and reproductive health.

Eligible Audience:

  • Medical Professionals: Gynecologists, andrologists, and embryologists seeking advanced training in ART techniques.
  • Researchers: Professionals and students in reproductive biology and related fields.
  • Fertility Clinic Staff: Technicians and lab personnel involved in fertility treatments.
  • Under graduate & Graduate Students: Individuals pursuing studies in medicine, biology, or biotechnology with an interest in reproductive health.

Course Outlines:

  • Cell Cycle and Spermatogenesis.
  •  Routine Semen Analysis.
  •  Ancillary Semen Tests.
  •  Sperm Processing and Cryopreservation.
  •  Factors Affecting Sperm Quality.
  •  Menstrual Cycle and Oogenesis.
  • Oocyte Preparation, Denudation, and Assessment.
  •  Embryo from Fertilization to Blastocyst Formation.
  • Oocyte and Embryo Cryopreservation.
  • PGT and Implantation.
  • Interpretations.

Course Outcomes:

By completing this course, participants will:

  • Understand the biological mechanisms underlying gametogenesis, fertilization, and embryo development.
  • Gain proficiency in semen analysis and advanced ancillary tests for male infertility diagnostics.
  • Acquire hands-on expertise in sperm and oocyte handling, cryopreservation, and embryo culture techniques.
  • Be equipped to perform preimplantation genetic testing and interpret its results for clinical decision-making.
  • Develop critical thinking skills for analyzing factors affecting gamete and embryo quality and applying this knowledge to improve ART outcomes.
